We were able to interview David Feroc, IT and Internet Director at Cercle des Vacances, who agreed to explain to us why Sasha is the indispensable tool for Cercle des Vacances, and even more so since the beginning of the current crisis.
In practice, Sasha synchronizes data from different sources and presents them as a single interface where it is possible to search, view and process all the data from these different sources.
Sasha also helps to save time and increase productivity by allowing to search for files using any information and by allowing to mass process the selected files (exports, issue of tickets, sending emails or text messages, cancellations…).
What are the features you used the most during the health crisis?
I’m thinking of two actions in particular:
The first is that, thanks to Sasha, we can very quickly find a customer’s file from secondary data: invoice number, airline reference, phone number or email address. Sasha allows us to reduce the discussions with our customers and thus a considerable time saving when we have to do this operation dozens and dozens of times, every day.
The second is that Sasha helps us to make decisions more quickly: every day, we count the number of files cancelled and processed, cancelled and to be processed, etc. Sasha allows us very simply to follow the evolution of these files and also to adjust our decisions according to volumes: we won’t make the same decision if a situation concerns 50, 500 or 5000 files. Having the possibility during a meeting to make a request and get the answer right away allows us to improve our processes and save time.
How was Sasha essential in crisis management at the operational level?
On a Friday at 6:30 pm, an airline company we work with sent a text message to all its customers to announce the cancellation of their flights, without informing us in advance. We were able to extract very quickly the list of all the files concerned and send them a text message telling them that we were taking care of them. And all this in less than 45 minutes.
Would you say the tool is simple to use?
Yes without hesitation! Without any explanation, without any training, people who are not at all familiar with the GDS can view files very quickly. This really helped us during the Covid crisis because any employee was able to help, no matter what’s their job and their experience or not of the GDS.
Sasha is an indispensable tool for the Cercle des Vacances: Sasha gives us the possibility to search with a power and a speed that doesn’t exist in the traditional GDS. Any question I have leads me to make a query in Sasha.
The free access of Sasha demonstrates Afidium’s strong commitment to support tourism professionals. This exceptional measure was initially implemented to Afidium’s customers.
